HEKTAŞ F.A.R.M.

HEKTAŞ F.A.R.M., located in the Orhangazi district of Bursa province, holds the position of Turkey's first and one of the few Research and Development Centers worldwide. HEKTAŞ Agricultural Innovation, Education, and Experience Center, realized with the support of distinguished academics from both Turkey and abroad, is built on a 607-acre area, focusing on increasing agricultural productivity through fully digitized processes, making it the most comprehensive Research and Development facility in the field of agriculture.

Thanks to its microclimate, the facility is positioned to enable the cultivation of a variety of fruits and vegetables, field crops, as well as medicinal and aromatic plants. Its proximity to Lake Iznik allows for the production of specialty crops such as kiwi, blueberry, aronia, hazelnut, which require specific climate conditions due to the maritime climate. Additionally, due to its geopolitical location, the facility stands as an important point for easy and fast access to all parts of Turkey via land, air, and sea transportation.

On the premises, agricultural production is carried out on a 407-acre area, including fruit trees with hard and soft shells (peach, nectarine, olive, plum, apricot, apple, pear, apple, persimmon), nuts (walnut, almond, hazelnut), field crops (wheat, sunflower, rice, corn), medicinal and aromatic plants (aronia, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, currants, gooseberries, myrtle, stevia, lemon balm), smart soilless agriculture greenhouse (soilless tomato-melon-watermelon-pepper-cucumber), tropical climate greenhouse (banana, avocado, papaya, mango, passion fruit, dragon fruit, pineapple), robotic unmanned vertical farming center, open and closed area vegetable production plots.
